OK, so there isn't a thread about the guest judges and since we're not posting about individual programs I'm putting this thread in. I liked Neil Patrick Harris. He could take Simon's spot. Totally didn't like Avril Lavigne.

I agree, I didn't like Avril at all. First off, I didn't know Neil Patrick Harris could sing! Missed it when he hosted the Emmys. He and Simon were also at odds at times.

Katy Perry and Kara were a trip! Constantly at each others throats! Talk about Girl Power! :P

I liked Shania and Mary J Blige.

I liked how NPH took over and was playing the Simon role.

I agree; I think I would be more likely to keep watching post-Simon if Neal became a regular judge. Maybe. But it's kind of like having Survivor without Probst. Is it really the same show? Like when Bewitched changed Darrens...it just wasn't the same, y'know?

8O They changed DARRENS??!?!? :o

(Now, if they'd changed SAMANTHAs, then that would be DIFFERENT)

HA!

In the Simon's leaving thread, I posted they should replace Simon with NPH, then I come here and tada! GMTA!

According to next weeks TV Guide, Tommy Mattola is in the running not only as Simon's replacement on AI but as a judge on Simon's X Factor.

I truly like Neil Patrick Harris as a judge. He was able to take on Simon in a manly manner. He was great as a judge. I remember he played a lead on the theatre on Broadway.... the show "RENT". I think it was him.

I like the way he carries himself like a man who says what he wants to say. He doesn't say...."Ohhhh......geeee....huh...... He tells it like it is in a nice manner. I hope he returns.

There was talk about Ellen Degenres being a judge but I truly didn't like her at all on the show "So you think you can dance." She was terrible as a judge. I hope she doesn't do it.

Looking at the Hollywood Week previews, I'm already unimpressed with her.

I watched it only sporadically, but I wasn't impressed with Ellen all that much either.

I like Ellen. I'm on board.
